Let the Packing Begin!

The 6 of us coming from Oregon (Greg, Diana, Adam, and Audrey Strand and Ray and Dianna Hart) got together after worship to pack the team supplies today. First up were the donations of toothbrushes, toothpastes, soaps, and witness bracelets:
We are so grateful for the Shepherd of the Valley (Corvallis) members and local dentists who provided all the hygiene supplies! We are also very grateful that Pastor Brian Hesse from last year's team took on the project of having the VBS kids at Trinity (Amarillo, Texas) make 243 witness bracelets!

Then it was time to divide the giant box sent by MOST Ministries into 4 big canvas duffels:
It was great to be able to spread everything out and give the members of our church a concrete idea of what we will be doing, especially with the water filters. And there must be more packing to do because 11-year old Adam can still carry the duffels!

Thanks for all your prayers and support everyone!  The Oregon half of the team was blessed to be commissioned in worship this morning and will gather for a prayer send-off at Shepherd on Friday at 3:00 pm. We're praying for the other half of the team and looking forward to meeting them in the Houston airport on Saturday morning.

  1. My alarm is already set so that I can get Pastor Dave to the airport. One advantage to the early hour is that the Tri-State, which is usually a crazy, busy road, is literally deserted. I'm excited and praying for you.
